Edit, Refresh & Manage Connections
Learn how to maintain and update your data connections in Tepun AI Report Builder.
Editing a Connection
- Open Connections List — Navigate to the Connections page
- Select Connection — Click the connection you want to modify
- Click Edit — Select the Edit button or gear icon
- Update Details — Modify host, credentials, or other settings
- Test and Save — Always test after changes, then save
Refreshing Schema
When your database structure changes:
- Click Refresh Schema in the connection toolbar
- AI rescans tables, columns, and relationships
- New objects appear in the schema browser
- Suggestions are updated to reflect changes
Updating Vector Store
The vector store powers AI understanding of your schema for natural language queries at report.tepun.com:
- Click Update Vector Store after significant schema changes
- This reprocesses table and column descriptions for better AI accuracy
- A progress indicator shows the update status
- Once complete, Ask AI will have improved understanding
When to Update: Update the vector store after adding new tables, renaming columns, or changing the purpose of existing data structures.
Deleting a Connection
- Open Connection — Navigate to the connection
- Click Delete — Find the delete option in settings
- Confirm — Acknowledge the deletion
- Note: Deleting a connection does not delete reports that used it, but they will no longer refresh
