Create a Dataset Manually

Build datasets step-by-step with the visual builder in Tepun AI Report Builder.

1. Navigate to Datasets — Click Datasets in the main navigation
2. Click New Dataset — Start the dataset builder wizard
3. Select Connection — Choose which data connection to use
4. Choose Primary Table — Select the main table for your dataset
5. Add Joins (Optional) — Select related tables and configure joins:
   • Inner Join: Only matching records from both tables
   • Left Join: All records from primary, matching from secondary
   • Right Join: All records from secondary, matching from primary
6. Select Columns — Pick which columns to include in the dataset
7. Add Filters (Optional) — Set default filter conditions
8. Preview and Save — Review sample data, name the dataset, and save

• You need precise control over table selection
• Complex join logic is required
• You want to select specific columns visually
• Building datasets for standardized reporting
